Dance Poetry with Ellen Crow Vodicka
Dance Poetry with Ellen Crow Vodicka
April 2nd | 6:30-8:00 PM | $45
Movement and words have long been intertwined—both offering a pathway to expression, healing, and connection. Join us for an evening of Dance Poetry, guided by Ellen Crow Vodicka, where we will explore the interplay of breath, movement, and imagination to create a collaborative poem together.
Guided by our intuitive bodies, we’ll move through gentle exercises that invite creative flow, allowing poetry and dance to emerge organically. This practice is not about performance but about honest expression—giving voice to what is felt rather than simply spoken.
What we’ll do:
Engage in movement and breathwork to spark creative flow
Explore guided writing prompts that encourage poetic expression
Create a collaborative poem, woven together from our shared experiences
This workshop is open to women and nonbinary folks who feel called to explore dance in a safely held community space. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. You are welcome to bring a journal, though notebooks will also be provided.
About the Facilitator:
Ellen Crow Vodicka is a movement artist and educator passionate about the connection between body, mind, and creativity. She brings years of experience in dance, somatic practices, and expressive arts, creating spaces where movement becomes a tool for self-discovery and connection.
Scholarships are available! If finances are a barrier to participation, please reach out—we want this space to be accessible to all who feel called to join.
Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
This event is on the second level with only stair access.
