Whitney Morales and Kate Krause are bringing a little art-making to the meadow.
Join us at Kate’s family farm for an intimate evening of tin embossing, flowers, good company, and live music.
We’ll begin in the meadow from 5:00–6:30 PM, where we’ll use the flowers and landscape around us as inspiration for a hands-on tin embossing workshop. You’ll learn the process of working with soft metal to create a dimensional, one-of-a-kind piece inspired by the place we’re gathered.
Come ready to make, wander, and settle in. We’ll have a few nibbles and drinks to enjoy, and you’re welcome to bring your own picnic if you’d like to make an evening of it.
Then, as the sun begins to shift, we’ll head toward the Woodchuck Stage in the Silver Maples for a very special concert featuring Dean Johnson + Old Pup.
This will be the first-ever show on the Woodchuck Stage, making this evening feel like the beginning of something new.

As summer begins to fade and the garden prepares for a new season, join us for an evening of preserving a little piece of what made this time of year special.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create botanical plaster casts using flowers, leaves, grasses, and other natural elements. We’ll explore how to capture the delicate textures and shapes of plants in plaster, creating dimensional pieces that preserve the beauty of the season long after the blooms have faded.
We’ll have a beautiful selection of flowers and botanicals available for you to work with, or you’re welcome to bring something from your own garden—a favorite flower, a climbing vine, a leaf from a meaningful tree, or anything else you’d like to remember.
There is something special about preserving the things that surround us. The garden that became your sanctuary. The flowers you planted in spring. The little corners of your outdoor space where you spent slow summer mornings and warm evenings.
Rather than simply photographing those memories, you’ll create something you can hold onto—and eventually bring into your home.
What to Expect:
An introduction to botanical plaster casting
Guidance on selecting and preparing botanicals
Hands-on instruction for creating your own plaster casts
A selection of flowers and greenery to choose from
The opportunity to work with botanicals you’ve brought from home
What You Will Love:
Preserving a meaningful piece of the season
Learning a unique and tactile art-making process
Working with natural textures and organic forms
Creating artwork you can display in your home
A slow, peaceful evening of making and connection
Materials Included & What to Bring:
Materials Provided: Plaster, casting materials, tools, and a selection of seasonal flowers and botanicals.
What to Bring: You’re welcome to bring a few flowers, leaves, or other botanicals from your own garden if you’d like to create something especially personal. Otherwise, we’ll have plenty waiting for you at TSC.
No previous experience is needed. All skill levels are welcome.
Come preserve a little piece of summer with us—and carry it into the season ahead.

You may have noticed Whitney wearing her appliqué pants around town—and if you’ve been wondering where she got them, the answer is: she made them herself.
Now it’s your turn.
Join us for a playful evening of turning something already hanging in your closet into something completely your own. In this hands-on appliqué workshop, you’ll learn how to embellish a favorite pair of pants, button-down shirt, tote bag, jacket, or just about anything else made from fabric.
Bring a garment or accessory from your closet and we’ll provide the rest. Choose from a collection of TSC-designed appliqué shapes and patterns, or create your own design for something truly personal. We’ll walk you through the basics of arranging, layering, securing, and stitching your appliqué pieces so you can leave with a one-of-a-kind piece you’ll actually want to wear.
This is part craft, part fashion, and entirely about making something ordinary a little more interesting.
What to Expect:
An introduction to appliqué techniques
A collection of fabrics, shapes, and designs to choose from
Guidance for creating your own design
Hands-on instruction for attaching appliqué to fabric
Time to transform your own garment or accessory
What You Will Love:
Giving something already in your closet a whole new personality
Creating wearable art that feels completely your own
Choosing from playful designs or making something from scratch
Learning a technique you can continue using at home
Leaving with something you’ll actually want to show off
Materials Included & What to Bring:
Materials Provided: A variety of fabric scraps, appliqué designs, templates, thread, needles, and other supplies needed to embellish your piece.
What to Bring: One garment or fabric item from your closet. Think pants, a button-down shirt, denim jacket, tote bag, sweatshirt, or anything else you’d like to give a little creative attention.
No sewing or art experience necessary. All skill levels welcome.
Come make your clothes a little more you.

At Tributary Beer Garden
Join us for another beautifully styled Crafty Brunch at Tributary Beer Garden, where good food, creative making, and community come together around the table.
This month, we’re exploring Kinusaiga, a traditional Japanese fabric art technique sometimes called “patchwork without sewing.” Using small pieces of fabric, you’ll create a dimensional textile artwork by carefully layering and tucking fabric into a prepared design.
You’ll choose from a selection of designs and fabrics, then work piece by piece to create your own finished artwork—playing with color, pattern, texture, and composition along the way. The result is a tactile, beautiful piece ready to display in your home.
And, of course, we’ll make a morning of it.
Enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu from Paradigm, delicious donuts from Sunday Dough, and a beverage from Tributary Beer Garden while you create and connect with the people around you.
What to Expect:
An introduction to the Japanese art of Kinusaiga
Guidance through the fabric layering and tucking technique
A variety of fabrics and designs to choose from
Time to create your own finished textile artwork
A beautifully styled brunch experience at Tributary Beer Garden
What You Will Love:
Learning a unique art form with a fascinating history
Playing with color, pattern, and texture
Creating a piece of art you’ll want to display
A relaxed, social creative experience
Delicious food, donuts, and drink alongside your making
Materials Included & What to Bring:
Materials Provided: Prepared Kinusaiga base, fabric, design options, and all necessary tools and materials.
What to Bring: Nothing! Just yourself and your creativity.
Your ticket includes the creative workshop, brunch menu from Paradigm, donuts from Sunday Dough, and a beverage from Tributary Beer Garden.
All skill levels welcome. Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to make something beautiful.

What happens when a photograph becomes a canvas?
Join us for a creative evening that blends photography, embroidery, and a little bit of whimsy. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll transform a photograph into a one-of-a-kind piece of stitched art by layering colorful cross-stitch details over the image.
Bring a photograph that means something to you—a favorite place, a person you love, a moment you want to remember—or choose from a collection of photographs Whitney has taken over the years.
We’ll guide you through the basics of stitching onto a photograph, including how to plan your design, choose your colors, and add embroidery details without losing the story already captured in the image. You can follow one of our suggested designs or let your imagination take over.
The result is part photograph, part textile, and entirely your own.
What to Expect:
An introduction to cross-stitching on photographs
Guidance on choosing colors, placement, and stitch patterns
A selection of Whitney’s photographs to choose from
The opportunity to bring your own meaningful photograph
Time to create a finished stitched photograph
What You Will Love:
Giving a favorite photograph an unexpected new life
Combining photography with the tactile beauty of embroidery
Adding tiny details, color, and personality to an image
Creating artwork with a story already built into it
Learning a technique you can continue experimenting with at home
Materials Included & What to Bring:
Materials Provided: Printed photographs from Whitney’s collection, embroidery floss, needles, and all necessary materials.
What to Bring: You are welcome to bring your own 5x7 photograph to embellish. A high-contrast image with some open areas works especially well. We’ll also have plenty of Whitney’s photographs available if you’d rather choose one when you arrive.
No previous cross-stitch or embroidery experience is needed. All skill levels welcome.
Come stitch a little something unexpected into a memory.
