Mini Makers is a drop-in, parent-and-child creative experience designed for little artists to come, create, and play. Most children spend 30–45 minutes exploring the art-making space, moving at their own pace through three hands-on stations:
Painting Station – Experiment with colors, brushes, and textures
Sensory Station – Explore fun, tactile materials
Take-Home Art Station – Make a small project to bring home
A staff member is available to support, but caregivers actively participate alongside their child.
Our social space is open the entire session, with blocks, Magna-Tiles, and toys for open-ended play — a cozy place for connection while your little one creates.
Whether painting, squishing, stamping, or sprinkling, Mini Makers is all about joyful messes, imagination, and shared creativity — drop in anytime during the open session!

Creative Open Studio is a flexible, guided art experience designed for kids who love to make, explore, and experiment.
Each Saturday features a curated project with thoughtfully prepared materials. Projects rotate weekly and may include mixed media, collage, painting, texture work, small sculpture, printmaking, or seasonal explorations.
March 14 Collage Portraits + STEAM Building Station
March 28 Spring inspired watercolor bunnies and eggs + egg carton spring animal portraits
April 25 Collages shimmery snail, tissue paper flower collage, flying paper birds
May 23 Create your own bunting + Matisse inspired collage
This is not a step-by-step craft class. Instead, students are invited to:
• Work at their own pace
• Make creative choices
• Experiment with materials
• Receive support and gentle guidance from our instructors
We keep our Open Studio intentionally sized to ensure a calm and supported environment. Because of this, pre-registration is required and space is limited.

When Mini Makers Started
In 2020, we transformed a room in our three-bedroom home into an art space. All three kids bunked together so we could dedicate that space to creativity. That’s how important making art was to me—and to my kids.
We spent countless hours in that room, making messes and creating art. It became a healing balm during a challenging time. And it was there that I unknowingly began my training to support children in their creative process.
Fast forward to today—at TSC, we connect with over 30 youth artists each week. It’s incredible! Now we are piloting our Mini Makers program for artists 12 months to 5 years old and their caregivers.

A six-week series designed just for little hands and big imaginations! Each session will feature process art projects and sensory experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and joyful mess-making.

Notes
We suggest that children wear clothing that can get messy, as the creative process can be unpredictable! Smocks will be provided to help keep everyone’s clothes clean.
